Q: What is Lentverse?
Lent is a novel-length work of fiction centered on Barney Calhoun, Gordon Freeman, and their families. It deals heavily in themes of childhood abuse, growth, homophobia, hate, and love. Lentverse is the all-encompassing name for the series.
Q: How long is it?
At this time, Lent has five parts that are in various stages of planning or completion. Roughly 175-200k words. Update: As Lent Part 5 has now been posted, we are at 165k words with multiple parts remaining!
Q: Where can I read it?
Finished chapters are listed in order below, hosted both on neocities and on Archive of our Own.
Q: What is it rated?
As a whole, Lent is rated Explicit. Individual parts may only qualify for a Teen or Mature rating, but altogether it is Explicit. Please heed the content warnings!
Q: What order should I read it in?
Breath, Risk, Lent, Silver, Weight. (This is not the most strictly chronological order, as much of Silver takes place between Lent 4 and 5, but makes the most sense.)
Q: Have you considered turning Lentverse into an actual novel (making it all original or otherwise)?
I have put very little thought into it at this time! Right now I don't have it in me to work on Lent beyond finishing up what I've got and putting it away for a while. Potentially, I may revisit at some point and start reworking the world and characters, but there is currently no solid plan to do so. It's just a fun fanfiction project for me right now.
